Roll Call in Blue Heaven

On September 11, 2001, 37 Port Authority Police Officers, 23 New York City Police Officers, an FBI Agent, a United States Secret Service Agent and 3 Court Officers lost their lives while helping to save the lives of others.

Retired Port Authority Police Officer Joe Montelione lost several friends on that fateful day. To deal with the events of that tragic day and to help ease his pain, he wrote a song in tribute to his fallen comrades. Joe feels very strongly that these heroes never be forgotten, as they made the ultimate sacrifice for total strangers.

Despite the fact that he had no formal musical training and can’t read or write music, Joe was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. So when the words and melody came to his head, he knew he had to do something. He put out a plea for help and a wonderful composer/pianist named Beata Moon gave Joe her time, talent and musical expertise to help him on his quest.

"ROLL CALL IN BLUE HEAVEN" is inspirational and moving. You will be touched by Joe’s heartfelt lyrics, striking music and gentle voice. Former President George Bush and First Lady Barbara heard the song and were touched. They sent a copy of the song to the White House so that the President of the United States could hear it.

Joe is not looking for money nor any recognition. This is solely for the purpose of keeping alive the memory of all the brave officers who lost their lives on 9-11.
